Since my brother Prasenjit and I stay in the US, we were extremely worried for not being able to get a dependable support for our parents when our mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer, as she would need regular hospital visits with appointments, ambulance need, admissions, discharges and coordinating the entire process at Manipal Hospital. But Support Elders has been our proxy and support throughout. They have been consistent and patient, handling every situation with calm and proficiency.

Your personnel have all wonderfully managed and executed every visit to the hospital in our absence, even during an emergency. Even with the time difference between here and India, they have patiently replied and answered all our calls without hesitation. This has been reassuring for both our aged parents who were extremely worried how all this would happen. Their mannerism and service orientation truly speaks volumes of their background.
Also the daily calls to my parents from Support Elders is reassuring to them and they have got used to receiving their calls.

Recently, I walked into the bathroom one night to find a snake. It was on the window, hanging across the tiles like a garland. I was extremely frightened. As soon as the snake saw me, it tried to escape through the ventilator. I called my husband and asked him to alert the neighbours, who said it was a cobra. We tried various ways to drive it away, but to no avail. It remained inside the ventilator and would not budge.
I then remembered to call Support Elders. It was already 10 p.m., but the staff member on night duty rushed over immediately. He assessed the situation and explained that the only way to handle it was to break the ventilator open. With our consent, he managed to catch the snake, secured it in a bag, and took it far away from our neighbourhood.
Thanks to Support Elders, we felt safe again. I wanted to offer the staff some sweets as a token of appreciation, but they politely declined. Their commitment to service is truly admirable. We are extremely grateful to have them in our lives.
