My mother, Ms S. Mookerjee, is a member of Support Elders in Kolkata.
Today, Mr S. Panda and his colleague helped evacuate my mother from her housing complex, which had been submerged in water and without electricity for two days.
They brought her down from the 7th floor and helped her wade through knee-deep water to reach the car I had arranged for her. Their timely help is deeply appreciated.
A big thank you to the Support Elders team for being there in a crisis.
Warm regards,
Ms A. Das,

Relief and Care During Kolkata’s Floods
My wife and I have taken two Support Elders memberships for more than 4 years to assist both our mothers. This note is to specifically acknowledge the excellent work done by their team that was led by Mr S. Mukherjee and was ably supported by their MCA Mr D. Giri and MCA Mr T. Maity.
Kolkata was battered by unprecedented downpours two nights ago and the entire city was devastated without electricity, drinking water and other daily needs. We called up Mr Mukherjee the next morning requesting his support in arranging drinking water and some puffed rice for my mother at Gariahat; she was cooped up at home without drinking water or food. Mr Mukherjee spoke to Mr Giri and within a short time Mr Giri personally carried drinking water, puffed rice and homemade sweets from his own house (since all the shops were closed in the area) to our apartment. This helped my mother immensely.
Since the electricity supply was not restored throughout the day in the area, my mother, who is suffering from acute asthma, was unable to take her nebuliser even once when she needs it to be inhaled minimum three times a day. As a result, once again in the late evening I called up Mr Mukherjee to organise an inhaler for my mother as an alternative. He and his team somehow managed to quickly arrange it, and it helped my mother to overcome asthmatic trouble.
My wife and I are really grateful to Support Elders and would like to thank their team led by Mr Mukherjee and well supported by Mr Giri and Mr Maity for their exemplary services in our time of need.
With kind regards,
Mr and Ms P. Chattopadhyay, Germany

A Pillar of Strength
Support Elders’ enormous and constant support for the past three years has truly touched our hearts. My father, Mr A. N. Saha, used to live alone in Kolkata, India. With us living so far away from him, our inability to be there for him in an emergency was always a huge concern in our family. Thankfully, we were introduced to Support Elders and were able to bring their support into his life.
We especially want to thank our zonal coordinator (ZC) Mr B. Chandra Saha and his team. He was not only a caring and compassionate individual, but also an exceptionally efficient professional. He guided us through every step of any emergency, whether related to the hospital or the bank, and was always available for consultation. My father adored him deeply.
Regrettably, we could not be present when my father passed away. In our absence, ZC Mr Saha shouldered all the responsibilities with the utmost care and respect, while also providing us with invaluable emotional support. He even ensured that every one of my father’s last wishes, known to him, was fulfilled. On the day of the cremation, Mr Saha was present wholeheartedly, alongside Mr S. Ch. Ghosh, who performed the last rites. Their sincerity and devotion moved us profoundly. Although we could not be there in person, their presence assured us that my father was laid to rest properly.
Over the past few years, Support Elders had truly become my father’s family. The staff went far beyond what we could have ever expected, extending unwavering support to both him and to us. For that, we will always remain deeply grateful. Our sincerest and heartfelt thanks to the entire Support Elders team. We wish them the very best as they continue to grow and remain a strong pillar of support for elders in the years to come.
Thank you once again.
Mr S. Saha, along with Ms P. Saha and Ms A. Saha,

Support with Empathy
Recently, by mistake, I called a Support Elders staff member to my residence for assistance. It was entirely my fault—I accidentally touched the screen and booked a slot for assistance. Much to my embarrassment, someone showed up at my door.
When I explained the matter, they did not lose patience. Instead, they listened to me calmly and reassured me that it was alright. One of them even called me later to check how I was and whether I needed further assistance with booking at-home calls.
This experience shows how empathetic the Support Elders staff are and how committed they are to serving their members. I am truly grateful to Support Elders—their service is truly remarkable.
