I share this wonderful experience with heartfelt gratitude for my Zonal Coordinator, Mr R. K. Singh, and the Support Elders team.
Recently, I had an appointment at René Tower, Kasba, to complete my biometrics for my Canada visa. As always, Mr Singh insisted on accompanying me, despite my assurances that I could manage on my own. True to his sense of duty, he arrived promptly at 8.45 a.m., checked all my papers and passport, and we set off.
Once I entered the Visa Centre, the clerk pointed out that the biometric request letter was mistakenly addressed from the travel agency proprietor instead of me. As a result, my application was rejected. I came out frustrated, but Mr Singh remained calm and composed. Within minutes, he identified yet another problem; the agency had not only addressed the letter wrongly but also sent me an outdated form from June 2024.
Naturally I was agitated, but he requested me to speak patiently with the agency, while he forwarded a photocopy of the wrong page to them. The agency realised their mistake and quickly sent the correct documents. Mr Singh dashed to the nearby market to print the new page, and I was able to report to the counter just in time for my appointment!
There was one last hurdle: I was told to pay Rs 4,300 in cash for the Premium Service. As Mr Singh was withdrawing cash for another errand, I managed the payment from a nearby bank. Moments later, when the clerk said Rs 3 more was needed, my ZC appeared again, smiling, with the amount. When the final bill, given to me by the gentleman at the cash counter, came to Rs 4,333, Mr Singh ran up four floors once more to complete the payment. Throughout this ordeal, he remained unflappable, disciplined, resourceful, and reassuring. His ex-Army training was evident at every step.
I am deeply grateful to him and the entire Support Elders team. Their dedication and care continue to set a benchmark in elder support services. Truly, there is no substitute for them in our city.

Support in the Face of a Flood
My mother, Ms S. Mookerjee, is a member of Support Elders in Kolkata.
Today, Mr S. Panda and his colleague helped evacuate my mother from her housing complex, which had been submerged in water and without electricity for two days.
They brought her down from the 7th floor and helped her wade through knee-deep water to reach the car I had arranged for her. Their timely help is deeply appreciated.
A big thank you to the Support Elders team for being there in a crisis.
Warm regards,
Ms A. Das,

Relief and Care During Kolkata’s Floods
My wife and I have taken two Support Elders memberships for more than 4 years to assist both our mothers. This note is to specifically acknowledge the excellent work done by their team that was led by Mr S. Mukherjee and was ably supported by their MCA Mr D. Giri and MCA Mr T. Maity.
Kolkata was battered by unprecedented downpours two nights ago and the entire city was devastated without electricity, drinking water and other daily needs. We called up Mr Mukherjee the next morning requesting his support in arranging drinking water and some puffed rice for my mother at Gariahat; she was cooped up at home without drinking water or food. Mr Mukherjee spoke to Mr Giri and within a short time Mr Giri personally carried drinking water, puffed rice and homemade sweets from his own house (since all the shops were closed in the area) to our apartment. This helped my mother immensely.
Since the electricity supply was not restored throughout the day in the area, my mother, who is suffering from acute asthma, was unable to take her nebuliser even once when she needs it to be inhaled minimum three times a day. As a result, once again in the late evening I called up Mr Mukherjee to organise an inhaler for my mother as an alternative. He and his team somehow managed to quickly arrange it, and it helped my mother to overcome asthmatic trouble.
My wife and I are really grateful to Support Elders and would like to thank their team led by Mr Mukherjee and well supported by Mr Giri and Mr Maity for their exemplary services in our time of need.
With kind regards,
