The car ownership had to be transferred to our member Ms. S. Mukhopadhyay. Since she had to leave the country just after a month, this work had to be done on an urgent basis and within the stipulated time. ZC Mr. S. Dey assigned MCA Mr. S. Debnath to complete this task. He went to the RTO to find out relevant sources to fast track the case. During the entire process he would get the documents signed by our member and bring them back to the RTO office for submitting to different officials. Even on his week-off, he diligently travelled from his house to the RTO office to pursue the work and get it done. Without much expense, within a month he got the car transferred in our member’s name. Our member Ms Mukhopadhyay was immensely happy due to this.

Seamless Action
On 9th September, 2023, during a daily call, Ms P. Bhowmik, came to know that our member Ms S. Sen was facing respiration problem. While assuring the member of our support, she messaged her team mate Ms P. Kundu to instantly call the ZC Mr. S. Das to take action. Ms Kundu immediately called him and briefed him about our member’s health. He rushed without any delay to her house and found her gasping for breath. He instantly put her on the Oxygen concentrator that was there at home. She felt better after sometime when her oxygen saturation level was restored. Mr. Das left the place only after ensuring that Ms. Sen was out of danger and could breathe normally.

Constantly vigilant
On 2nd September, 2023 at 11.16 a.m., our member Ms K. Neogi called the Alarm Centre (ALCO) stating an emergency. MCA Mr. C. Midya reached the member’s house within 7 minutes. Her husband, had slipped and fallen and had badly injured his hip. Mr Midya requested ALCO for an ambulance and within no time accompanied Mr. T. K. Neogi to the suggested hospital. He was checked by an Orthopaedic, and after seeing his x-ray, stated that he had a hip fracture, and required a surgery. But he refrained from operating as that would be fatal. He provided some medications and our member was brought back home safely by Mr Midya.
When Ms. Neogi heard about the fracture she fainted and it was a challenge for Mr. Midya on one hand to make Mr. Neogi lie down comfortably and on the other to revive Ms. Neogi. He successfully accomplished both and left after updating ZC Mr. B. Das about the situation. Mr. Das coordinated with Mr. Neogi’s family staying abroad and the doctor and got his treatment started at home for traction physiotherapy. The team is constantly visiting our members to ensure their needs are taken care of.

Work in synergy
Our member Ms B. Chowdhury had problems receiving pension after her husband’s demise. They had shifted to their native place Chinsura from Secunderabad. When she realised that the pension amount was not credited to her account, she took help of Support Elders Uttarpara team. MCA Mr G. Roy was deployed to pursue the case. The address in the Pension Scheme document and Aadhar card did not match, as the Aadhar Card was of Secunderabad.
To resolve this problem Mr Roy contacted Support Elders Hyderabad team. He told them in detail about the problem and what was required. Both Uttarpara and Hyderabad team carried out the work in synergy. Team Hyderabad got the address changed in the Pension Scheme Document within no time and sent it back to Uttarpara. It was further pursued and processed by Mr Roy for a week after which the pension was credited. Ms Chowdhury was greatly relieved as she didn’t have to travel, yet the work was accomplished so well.
