Leave no stones unturned
Our member Ms S. Deb, has regular doctor check-ups at home. During such a visit on 18th February, 2024, the doctor diagnosed her of high blood pressure and suggested for an ECG to be done immediately. The family contacted their regular diagnostic centre, but being a Sunday, it was closed. When they couldn’t find any place to get the ECG done which was compulsory, her daughter who was in Canada, called up Support Elders for help. ZC Mr S. Sarkar, left no stones unturned to find out a diagnostic centre which was open and get a person to the member’s house for ECG. Since the ECG was done in time and sent to the doctor, medicative follow-up took place immediately and the member was relieved.

Emergency connection
On 9th January, 2024, ZC Mr M. K. Sinha, received a call from Brig. S. S. Rai’s daughter at around 9:00 a.m. stating an emergency. The member had fallen and was experiencing a chest pain. His wife was extremely worried. ZC Mr Sinha immediately reached the member’s house, lifted the member and made him lie down on the bed. He called the doctor of a nearby hospital, and requested him to come to the member’s house. A nurse also had accompanied the doctor and, on his instruction, immediately gave Brig. Rai saline and an IVF to take care of his low blood pressure. The doctor had diagnosed our member of a mild heart attack and prescribed a medicine which Mr. Sinha immediately went and brought. Due to timely action our member recovered in an hour. ZC Mr Sinha assured the member’s family of his regular check-in calls, which he ensured.
